ABOUT SASH.
During the last couple of years, I have spent the majority of my time in the studio creating the collection Uncategorized.
The concept naturally emerged as no boundaries were set to my creation to answer the questions of why, to whom, and where.
Most of us do not know what we want and seek others to find it out for us. This creates frustration because we set categories that many of us feel like we do not belong to.
The studio for me is my safe space, where the rushed thoughts are silenced and the outer world seize to exist.
It has helped me to be content in my own company.
The name SilverbySash is based on my middle name Saša pronounced Sasha.
I had been walking past the same silversmith studio in my neighborhood for years until I one day went in and talked to the owner, Håkan.
I showed my interest in learning the craft and he was willing to teach me.
I instantly fell in love with the different ways of handling silver and learned by apprenticeship.
I developed as I challenged myself to go beyond the rules and understand the different characteristics of silver.
